Comment by twif - amy November 16, 2007 @ 3:07 amI’m just curious why you’re investing so much in a bike that a pile of rust to begin with. Couldn’t you have spent $100 – $150 and gotten a much better starting point? Sounds like the Ciao is a fairly lousy frame to build a performance bike on, with all the bracing and welding you’ve got to do. I can understand a cahllenge – and this is certainly one!

the bike itself, isn’t really a pile of rust. besides, i would feel a little guilty doing all of this to a nice bike.. and no matter how nice the bike, i still would have stripped it down to bare metal and welded it up.
